The veggie combo was so flavorful. Absolutely loved the garlic in the collards greens, the ginger in the cabbage, the beets, the al dented potatoes, and the spices and texture of the lentils. Ordered the full-teff injera per other people's recommendation. It really was tangy/sour like a sourdough bread and complimented the meal perfectly. All finished with a bottle of their homemade tej honey wine.Between Indian and Ethiopian cuisine, I could become a full time vegetarian and never miss having meat again. The flavors of the veggie dishes were that good. Will be making the long drive from the suburbs to visit again. This place is bomb!

Wow! So delicious! We love Ethiopian food and have tried *many* different restaurants and Zagol is AMAZING! They serve foul with French bread (this fantastic traditional breakfast is not served by most restaurants, so this is a rare find!). We also love their shiro wot. Can't wait to try more dishes here! The food is fresh, flavorful and high quality. The restaurant is clean and cheerful. The service is friendly and detail-oriented. And the owner Mesi was super generous and helpful for a special birthday take-out order I picked up for my husband during the pandemic! She made our day! Wonderful food, people and restaurant. We will be back and look forward to it! Thank you!

Zagol is fantastic. We've eaten here before the COVID pandemic, and just recently got takeout for my birthday -- foul and shiro wot. They went out of their way to lovingly prepare everything special, even making foul at a time when they might not otherwise be serving it. The food is always very fresh, full of interesting textures and flavors, and perfectly spiced. The owners are delightful, creating a welcoming, comfortable family atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great take out! I got two meat combo's and they were incredibly filling and tasty. Plenty of enjera to soak everything up! Excited to try eating in when they're fully open after quarantine.

Need some take out during quarantine? Love love love Zagol. This spot is so friendly and consistent. I love to get a veggie platter (lentils, spinach, cabbage/carrots, other seasonal items) and add a lamb or beef tibs, and I always get extra salad. So delicious! I also highly recommend doing the all teff injera - makes for a darker, more sour injera. I'm sad I can't sit inside Zagol and experience the coffee ceremony right now, but still support this restaurant! The service is super fast and they are all set up for quick no contact pick up. Just give them a call to place your order!
